Weight Operated Limit Switch
Weight Operated Limit Switches are used on control / power circuit of reversing drives so as to limit their rotation / movement within a predetermined position.
CWLS 10A – AL
The Weight-Operated Limit Switch (10A) is a rugged position-sensing device for reversing drives, designed to limit rotation/movement by actuating cams when the snatch block reaches its end position. Built with an aluminum die-cast (powder-coated) housing and silver-cadmium contacts, it offers IP-55 protection, 500 VAC max rating and a 10 A thermal test current, with up to 2 contact elements and twin 3/4″ BS conduit cable entries. Floor-mounted and available also in thermoplastic, it’s ideal for EOT cranes, hoists and heavy material-handling systems where reliable end-of-travel safety is required

This CWLS thermoplastic limit switch is engineered for counter-weight driven hoists and cranes, using a cam-actuated lever mechanism to engage NO/NC changeover contacts at end positions. It features a durable thermoplastic housing, silver cadmium contacts, IP-55 protection, and is rated for 10 A thermal test current at 500 VAC. With twin 3/4″ BS conduit entries and optional adjustments, it provides reliable, low-maintenance operation for travel limiting in industrial lifting systems.
